Chapter 87 A Letter to Yue Wang

Editor: Angel

In the afternoon, when she saw Ding Yuelan being disfigured, she didn't think much about it. Later, she carefully looked at the wound on her face and found that the wound looked like it was not accidentally cut, rather it was like being deliberately scratched.

She also suspected Zhou Ao, but thinking of the purpose for his visit this time, she felt that he would not be so stupid to take the initiative to hurt Ding Yuelan to leave such a large handle to be used against him.

The most likely conclusion was that the wound was inflicted by Ding Yuelan herself. Even the loud noise that came out in the afternoon were all deliberately made by her, in order to completely cut off her involvement with Zhou Wei.

Su Qing nodded. "I hope so."

At night, Mu Yunyao slept a little unsteadily. Thus, the next day, she woke up a little late. When she got up, tidied herself up and went downstairs, she found Ding Yuelan and Jin Lan were sitting by the table.

"Madame, why don't you take a break for a while more? Aren’t you still hurting from the wound?"

Ding Yuelan’s cheek was injured and she dared not make more expressions, but her eyes revealed a calm, clear, and meaningful look as if she could see through all the tricks and obstacles in front of her. Indifferently she said: "A little injury won't get in the way."

Mu Yunyao was stunned for a second. She did not know what Zhou Wei and Ding Yuelan had talked about with each other yesterday, but it seemed like she had thought it over overnight: "Madame must not talk anymore. When you talk, you’ll reopen the wound. I know that you are worried about Niyunfang in your heart. But if you want to do a good job, you must first sharpen your tools. Heal your wound first, and only then you can give me your help."

Ding Yuelan had a trace of anxiety on her face and wanted to say something but Mu Yunyao held her arms.

Mu Yunyao looked serious: "Don't refuse. As long as your injury does not get better, I will never let you do anything. If you feel bored in the room, I will let Jin Lan move a soft couch in the hall and you can lie down and watch us work."

Ding Yuelan hesitated before she slightly nodded helplessly. She had brought trouble to Niyunfang so she always wanted to do more to compensate for it. Instead, the person she wanted to help ended up taking care of her all the time. She vowed, when this injury was healed, she would do everything to repay this gratitude.

Mu Yunyao smiled and replied: "Well, you will be busier from today onwards. You have to eat enough, and then everyone will receive ten taels of silver. No matter how busy these days are, they should not neglect their own body. If the silver is not enough, then let them come to ask me for some more."

    "Thank you, miss!"

After eating a little breakfast, Lady Jin personally brought the embroidery ladies to Niyunfang. Mu Yunyao told Jin Lan and the rest to arrange it so that she could teach as many people as possible.

First and foremost,  eight of her apprentices had already mastered the embroidery techniques, so Mu Yunyao did not need to intervene. She looked around and observed the foundation and qualifications of the embroidery ladies.

In the interval of the morning, the level of the ladies was about the same. She reassigned the people taught by the eight apprentices and tried to have them to train the next batch embroidery ladies as soon as possible.

Lady Jin spent almost all day in Niyunfang, running back and forth. Half a month has passed and she seemed to have lost a lot of weight.

The injury on Ding Yuelan’s face had almost been fully healed. The first batch of embroidery ladies has also learned Mu Yunyao’s craftsmanship.

The first batch of embroidery ladies would be sent away in the evening. Mu Yunyao specifically sought out Lady Jin and said: "Milady, this batch of embroidered mothers is almost ready for an apprenticeship, you can send the second batch of embroidered mothers over."

Due to limited manpower, even the embroidery ladies who already mastered the techniques were also divided into teams to teach other batches. Otherwise, she would not even dare to accept the job without thinking it through, else it would not achieve the expected results.

"Great. Then I will arrange for them to teach other women in Jingling City..." Lady Jin had not yet finished when Mu Yunyao opened her mouth.

"Lady, I will leave the arrangement to you. I don't understand these kinds of things."

Saying that she did not understand, Lady Jin naturally 10,000 times would not believe it. Mu Yunyao had such an exquisite mind. At this point, she felt that there was something she could not understand: "Yunyao, the next thing is the key. How can you let it slip?”

Mu Yunyao smiled indifferently: “Milady, I’m just an ordinary person, who teach others the embroidery techniques I knew. I just want to let the women in Jingling City have a skill, no other superfluous thoughts. Now that I know that my Lady will arrange it properly, I’m completely relieved. I just want to be able to hide a little and be lazy whenever I want to. All those annoying things can be done by someone else!"

"You wench, you know those annoying things, even if anyone wants it, they can’t even can't grab it." Now even the governor's wife was very jealous of her, not to mention other official ladies. She didn't know how many people were looking forward to take a piece of cake (TN: to get a part of the profits). When this piece of pie arrived at Mu Yunyao, it turned into a hassle.

"Milady, as the saying goes, don't meddle in affairs that are not part of your position. I just want to live in peace with my mother. Nowadays, it’s already a huge risk to have this. The others are very eager to make a connection with me." (TN: and they messed with her calm life)

She couldn't help but sigh loudly: " I see that you’re clever, even smarter than others. But if you are actually stupid, then it’s really worrying. This is a matter of great merit. If you take part in it more, the merit will be greater. When the emperor talks about merit and rewards it, you will naturally get your generous reward."

"In that case, I, even more, dare not get involved. An ordinary man’s guilelessly treasuring a jade ring becomes a crime (TN: A person's talent will arouse the envy of others.). At the moment, Niyunfang is very popular and attracted people’s envy. My mother and I are helpless. It’s my recklessness to seek the limelight that led to this situation. I have never thought of any merits. Milady please don’t say it again, my heart  feels awful." Mu Yunyao uttered in all seriousness and even patted her chest.

Lady Jin laughed at her action: "Well, since you don't want to participate, I won't force you. You can rest assured that I will try my best to arrange the next matter." Although Yunyao said so, the merit of the invitation should still be given to her. She should go back and have a good discussion with Cao Yunnian.

After seeing Lady Jin away, Mu Yunyao was so exhausted that she yawned while leaning against the table.

"Ugh……" With a long sigh, she tried to brace herself up, picked up her brush and thought carefully.

She was so busy for a few days ago that she completely forgot about Yue Wang. Yesterday, Qin Guan sent some fresh fruits and melons to her. It suddenly occurred to her that it was time to write to Yue Wang.

However, after she spread the paper and lifted the brush, she didn’t know how to start the letter. She thought about it for a long time and still had no clue. After a long while, Mu Yunyao still had no idea, so she simply gave up. Holding down the brush, she started to write whatever she remembered starting from the day when Yue Wang had left. Just like that, she wrote a few pages of paper smoothly until she felt that it was enough, put the envelope on the table and then directly went to bed.

The next morning, as expected, she woke up a little late. In a hurry, she didn’t have time to think it through carefully and handed the letter directly to Liu Liang: "You go to the Jinxiu Garden and hand it over to Qin Guan, he naturally knows what to do."

    "Yes."

The following days, she was so busy that Mu Yunyao felt the days passed by quickly.

The clothes ordered by the ladies had been sent, and unsurprisingly received a lot of praises. Many people had asked when Neiyunfang would open its door to do business.

Mu Yunyao only replied with soon, but also indicated that the next time she reopened the business, she would release a new Niyun beauty book. For a time, it provoked many people to feel the itch in their heart waiting for the moment to arrive.

The Jinxiu Garden had finished its renovation, Mu Yunyao deliberately took the time to inspect it. She was very satisfied with the results. She could hang a plaque and open the door just waiting for her plan to be completed.

On the other side, thick letters, after half a month of tossing, were sent all the way to the Wang Fu (TN: The palace/residence of the prince).
